The Income Tax Department also gives information about your refund status through your email and SMS. If your refund has been processed, then you can get information about it through SMS or email. If there is any problem or error regarding the refund, then also the department will give you this information.
These mistakes can be the reason for the refund getting stuck.
To get a refund, you not only have to file the income tax return but also get it e-verified. Until you e-verify the ITR, your return will not be processed. After e-verification, it may take 4-5 weeks for the refund to come. So do not forget to do this work. Apart from e-verification, refund can also get stuck due to some mistakes like Aadhaar not being linked to PAN, not responding to the e-mail sent by the Income Tax Department, TDS not matching, your account number or IFSC code being wrong, etc.
