New Delhi: In Delhi-NCR, the seller of milk and dairy products, Mother Dairy, has increased the price of milk by two rupees per liter, citing increase in purchase costs. A company official said on Tuesday that the price amendment will be effective in the entire market from April 30, 2025. The Mother Dairy official said, “Amendment in prices has become necessary to deal with a significant increase in purchase costs. The cost has increased by four to five rupees per liter in the last few months.”
The official said that in addition to the onset of summer, the bounce in purchase prices has also come due to heat stroke. After the price hike, the price of toned milk (wholesale sales) in Delhi-NCR has increased from Rs 54 per liter to Rs 56 per liter. At the same time, the price of full cream milk (pouch) will be increased from Rs 68 per liter to Rs 69 per liter.
With this, the price of toned milk (pouch) will be increased from Rs 56 per liter to Rs 57 while the price of double toned milk will be increased from Rs 49 per liter to Rs 51 per liter. Mother Dairy has also increased the price of cow's milk from Rs 57 per liter to Rs 59 per liter.
