IPL 2025: More than half the journey of IPL 2025 is over. BCCI has suffered a major setback between IPL 2025. The BCCI has received notice due to its robot dog (Champak). The Delhi High Court has also sent a notice to the BCCI seeking a reply. The BCCI is using robots during IPL 2025, named Champak. However, now the name of Champak can be expensive to the BCCI.

BCCI stuck

Delhi High Court has issued a legal notice to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The notice has been sent after a complaint made by a popular children's magazine “Champak”. In fact, the BCCI has recently named its new robotic dog “Champak”, on which the magazine's publisher objected to it as a violation of their trademark.

Taking this complaint seriously, the Delhi High Court has sought a reply from the BCCI within four weeks. The next hearing date has been fixed on 9 July.

What is robot dog 'Champak'?

This is a great example of BCCI robotic dog technology. It has many advanced cameras that show pictures and videos from new and interesting angles during the match. This device has multiple sensors which can record data of players' performance.

This robot dog can be charged by itself and if it falls, it can also stand on its own. It is used by players' practice, preparations before the match and half time. One of its specialty is that it can post live content on social media. It can even deliver drinks to the players on the ground. Additionally, it can also monitor players' heart rate and pulse rate.

Controversy over name

The name “Champak” has been associated with a popular magazine in the world of children for a long time. Publishers say that the BCCI has damaged the identity of their brand using this name. It will now be seen that the court gives the verdict in whose favor in this trademark dispute.
