The Ambani family are mourning the loss of their cherished golden retriever, Happy, as tributes poured in following his passing on April 30. Known for his warm presence and gentle spirit, Happy had been an integral part of the family’s most memorable moments, especially close to the youngest son, Anant Ambani, not just as a pet but as a beloved family member.

Anant's passion for animal welfare has been well known, especially through his work with Vantara, a groundbreaking wildlife rescue and conservation centre in Jamnagar dedicated to protecting endangered and vulnerable species.

Following the demise, a moving statement on Vantara's official Instagram stated, "Today, we bid farewell to Happy – our beloved companion. Happy was family — a gentle soul with eyes full of warmth and a heart that radiated love and joy. His presence brought light into every room and his absence leaves a space no one can fill. He wore the name ‘Vantarian’ with pride — and was cherished by all. Rest well, dearest Happy. ❤️ You’ll always be missed."

'Heaven’s gain is our loss'

The news of Happy’s passing was also shared via celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani’s Instagram handle, accompanied by a touching poster of Happy framed with flowers. The family’s tribute on the post read, “Dear Happy, You will forever be a part of us and live on in our hearts. Heaven’s gain is our loss."

At a private prayer meeting held in Happy’s memory, the family shared another deeply emotional note, reflecting the depth of their bond with him. "In loving memory of a beloved Happy. It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of our beloved dog, HAPPY. More than just a pet, he was family—a loyal companion, a source of comfort, and a constant presence of unconditional love," the family expressed.

"The joy HAPPY brought into our lives will never be forgotten. From the playful moments to the quiet times of companionship, his memory will forever live in our hearts. Run free, sweet HAPPY. You will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten,” concluded the statement.
