New Delhi: Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and singers Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s Instagram accounts have been blocked in India on Friday (May 2). Earlier, several Pakistani artists and celebrities’ Instagram accounts were restricted in India, following the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam terror attack.

Several Pakistani artists, including Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir, and Ali Zafar’s Instagram account, have been blocked in India. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of India also blocked all Pakistani YouTube channels in India in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack. Let’s dive into further details!

Fawad Khan and Aatif Aslam’s Instagram accounts blocked

The Instagram accounts of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and singers Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have been restricted in India, joining the list of Pakistani celebs whose accounts were blocked in the country. The Instagram accounts of the two Pakistani artistes show a message that read, “Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content”.

Fawad Khan made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with Khoobsurat, opposite Sonam Kapoor. He then featured in Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He will be next seen in Abir gulaalhowever, it remains in a limbo after the Pahalgam attack. He is known for his Pakistani serials, including Dastataan (2010), Humsafar (2011), and Zindagi gulzar hai (2012).

On the other hand, Atif aslam is a celebrated singer, songwriter, composer and actor. He is Known for his songs, Including 'Tu Jaane Na', 'Jene Laga Hoon', 'Tera Hone Laga Hoon', 'Aadat', 'Bheegi Yaadein', 'Jal Pari', 'Doorie', 'Doorie', 'Meri Kahani'.

Meanwhile, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is Known For His Songs 'Teri Ore', 'Jiya Dhadak Dhadak', 'Bol Na Halke Halke', 'Dil to Bachcha Hai', 'Teri Meri', and 'Jag Ghoomeyaya'.

Vaani Kapoor Deletes All Abir Gulaal Posts

Actress Vaani Kapoor on Friday (May 2) also deleted all posts promoting her upcoming film Abir Gulaal from Instagram. After the Pahalgan terror attack, the actress received massive backlash for promoting Abir Gulaal and working with a Pakistani actor.
