The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has been ranked third in Maharashtra under the state government’s 100-Day Special Campaign for Office Reforms. The results were officially announced on May 1, marking Maharashtra Day.

"The corporation’s commendable performance was recognized among municipal corporations across the state. The evaluation was conducted by the Quality Council of India, based on 17 key criteria including website upgrades, office infrastructure, grievance redressal mechanisms, ease of living, investment promotion, and the use of technology," said an official

The recognition is stated to have been achieved with the implementation of several innovative and people-centric initiatives. Even the Municipal commissioner scores were stated to be impressive. " The commissioner scored an impressive 79.43 out of 100, placing him among the top municipal commissioners in the state and earning the corporation third place overall," informed the official.

Speaking on the recognition, Commissioner Chitale said, “The state government has acknowledged the comprehensive development efforts of Panvel Municipal Corporation. This achievement belongs to the citizens of Panvel. Going forward, we are committed to further improving our services and enhancing the city’s image.” He also extended congratulations to the other municipal corporations that received awards.

During the 100-day campaign, PMC launched various efforts aimed at promptly resolving public grievances and improving administrative efficiency.
