After dating for six months, Bobby and Tanya got married in 1996, in a lavish star-studded wedding ceremony. Like the Deol women, Tanya majorly prefers to stay away from the limelight. She’s mostly seen making public appearances with her husband at high-profile gatherings or few film screenings including his brother-in-law Sunny Deol’s Bridge 2 premiere.

Tanya is daughter of the late multi-millionaire businessman Devendra Ahuja. According to Economic Times, he was a successful banker as the promoter of Centurion Bank and MD of 20th Century Finance. Reports claim that he died in 2010, leaving behind his shares and properties worth Rs 300 crore at the time, to his daughter. Despite coming from a wealthy background, Tanya has a carved a niche for herself in interior designing. She owns a furnishing store and also dabbled in fashion designing.

Bobby Deol once spoke about his wife and credited her for his successful career, “I am a very broad-minded person. I never stopped my wife from working, or subdue her, or make her feel less about herself. I am what I am because of my wife.” The actor said to Times of India.

On the other hand, Tanya and Bobby Deol are blessed with two sons- Aryaman Deol and Dharam Deol. As revealed by Bobby himself, his sons will take forward their family’s legacy and enter the film industry “in another 3-4 years time.”
