PNB FD Rates: Punjab National Bank again reduced interest rates on FD, know new rates

News India Live, Digital Desk:Punjab National Bank (PNB) has once again announced a cut in interest rates of fixed deposits (FD). The new interest rates have come into force from 1 May 2025. This change will be applicable to retail customers whose deposit amount is less than Rs 3 crore. According to the new rates, now customers will get interest from 3.50% to 7.10% on FD from 7 days to 10 years duration.

Earlier in April 2025, the bank had changed the interest rates on FD of less than Rs 3 crore. The current deduction has been made on short term and medium term FD, in which interest rates have been reduced to a maximum of 0.25%.

New interest rates on PNB FD:

  • 7 days to 10 years: 3.50% to 7.10%
  • 390 days FD: Maximum 7.10%
  • 180 to 270 days: 6.25% to 6.00%
  • 271 to 299 days: 6.50% to 6.25%
  • 303 day FD: 6.40% to 6.15%
  • 304 days to 1 year less: 6.50% to 6.25%
  • 1 year FD: 6.80% to 6.70%

New interest rates for senior citizens:

Senior citizens above 60 years and senior citizens below 80 years will get 0.50% more for a period of up to 5 years and 0.80% more for more than 5 years. In such a situation, interest rates for senior citizens will range from 4.00% to 7.60%.

Interest Rates for Super Senior Citizens:

PNB pays 0.80% additional interest to all FDs to customers aging 80 years and above. In this category, customers will get interest from 4.30% to 7.90%.
