Summer dress season might be heading our way, but there’s always a place for denim in our hearts (and wardrobes). Reformation’s and the matching have been cited as one of the must-have denim co-ords to be seen in this summer, but with both pieces coming in at £178 each – making it £356 in total – it’s not exactly the most budget friendly option.
However fear not, because we spotted this amazing alternative at New Look – and it’ll save you £290. The and the co-ordinating are both priced at £32.99, giving you a total cost of £65.98 – definitely more affordable.

The is what really sells this as an alternative to the Reformation one, with a very similar silhouette and design. The fitted waist is perfect for accentuating your figure and creating a flattering shape, whilst the high neck and sleeveless design mean you can dress it up or down.
Its dark navy colourway makes it look more than a lighter wash, meaning you could just as easily wear it for the office as you could for a casual lunch date. It’s also finished with brown top stitching and gold buttons, giving it an elevated feel.
The matching differ slightly from Reformations 90s silhouette, opting instead for a flattering wide leg cut. They also feature a drawstring detail around the waist, with a subtle elasticated panel at the back which makes them comfortable and well fitted.
The waistcoat is made from 100% cotton, giving it some structure and breathability, whilst the trousers are made from a cotton and linen blend, which makes them breezier and more lightweight than your usual jeans – ideal for summer. You can pick up both pieces in sizes 6 to 18 for £32.99 each.
If you prefer the more traditional design of Reformation’s jeans, we also spotted this matching set at Mint Velvet which gives you a very similar look. The £89 has a slightly different shape with a V-neck, rather than a high rounded one, but the , also £89, have a very similar silhouette and look to Reformation’s £178 pair.
