Now if you book a cab like Ola, Uber, or Rapido and the driver cancels the ride, then you will get compensation for it. Given the ever-increasing complaints of the people, the Maharashtra government has implemented the Aggregator Cabs Policy 2025. People say that cab drivers suddenly cancel the booking, and increase the fare and many times women do not feel safe. Keeping all these things in mind, the government has taken this new decision.
According to the new policy, now women will be able to share the ride only with a female driver or female passenger at night. This will make them feel more safe and comfortable. Apart from this, bad vehicles and careless drivers will be removed from the fleet. Vehicles which are not properly maintained will be removed.
80 percent rating
According to the new instructions, every driver will have to get at least an 80% good rating. Police verification of the driver will be necessary. Every cab will now have GPS and an emergency button.
Opening local offices and giving training is also necessary
Cab companies will now have to open their offices in every city and give proper training to the drivers. It has also been clearly stated that the driver or the company cannot use the personal data of the passenger under any circumstances. This policy will provide relief to travelers and women will feel safer than before.
