Free CT (Computerized Tomography) and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) treatments will soon be available to PMCH patients. Installation of the devices is already proceeding at the recently built PMCH facility. The services will be active after the required testing.

To speed up the procedure, the hospital management has already written to the government requesting the appointment or deputation of MRI and CT scan technicians. Free CT and MRI scans will be offered starting in June, if all goes according to plan. Both services are now provided at lower prices under a PPP model.

These services will be completely free with the new computers. Two towers of the first phase of the PMCH reconstruction project were launched on Saturday by Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and Vijay Kumar Sinha.

The second tower will house the MRI and CT scan machines. According to PMCH Superintendent Dr. IS Thakur, the hospital sees between 2,500 and 2,500 patients per day. All medical care, medications, and diagnostic facilities are provided by the government. Approximately one hundred individuals are recommended CT scans and MRIs by doctors each day. At the moment, the PPP model machines are used for this.

It is anticipated that the new equipment will shortly be in use. Beginning on May 15th, OPD services in the new facility will be provided by the departments of Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and PSM. Later, OPD services will be launched in eight other departments, including Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiology, and Pediatrics.

OPD, emergency services, and patient admissions would gradually be available in the two new buildings, Dr. Thakur said. Emergency and admission services will come after OPD services. Services will start as soon as the hospital receives the resources it has requested.
