Indian Railways has announced the operating of additional special trains on important lines in an effort to handle the increased passenger pressure during the summer holiday. Three more pairs of summer special trains would operate between Udhna and Samastipur, Udhna and Jaynagar, and Ahmedabad and Danapur, according to Saraswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway.

Special Train No. 09069/09070 Udhna–Samastipur:

Every Saturday between May 3 and May 31 at 8:35 PM, train 09069 will leave Udhna and arrive in Samastipur at 2:30 AM on Monday. The train will stop at many intermediate stops, including DDU (Sunday 7:30 PM), Patliputra (10:40 PM), and Hajipur (11:30 PM).

Every Monday between May 5 and June 2, the return service, train number 09070, will leave Samastipur at 4:00 AM and arrive in Muzaffarpur at 4:55 AM, Patliputra at 7:00 AM, DDU at 10:50 AM, and Udhna at 2:00 PM on Tuesdays.

Special Train No. 09067/09068 from Udhna to Jaynagar:

Every Sunday between May 4 and May 25 at 12:20 PM, train 09067 will leave Udhna and arrive in Jaynagar at 9:30 PM. DDU (Monday, 10:22 AM), Patliputra (2:15 PM), Muzaffarpur (4:00 PM), Darbhanga (7:00 PM), and other locations will be stops along the way.

Every Monday between May 5 and May 26 at 11:30 PM, the return train 09068 will depart Jaynagar and go to Darbhanga at 1:00 AM, Muzaffarpur at 3:45 AM, Patliputra at 6:00 AM, DDU at 10:20 AM, and finally Udhna at 12:15 PM on Wednesday.

Special Ahmedabad–Danapur Train No. 09407/09408:

Every Tuesday between May 6 and June 17, train 09407 will depart Ahmedabad at 9:20 AM and arrive at Ujjain at 4:55 PM, DDU at 3:10 PM on Wednesday, and Danapur at 7:00 PM.

Every Wednesday between May 7 and June 18, the return train, 09408, will leave Danapur at 10:30 PM. It will stop in DDU (Thursday at 1:45 AM), Ujjain at 9:35 PM, and Ahmedabad at 7:15 AM on Friday.

By relieving passengers of the summer rush, these trains hope to make travel across Gujarat and Bihar more comfortable.
