Jannik Sinner announced he is single before his return to tennis at the Rome Masters this week. The world No.1, who was dating WTA star Anna Kalinskaya, was photographed with Russian model Lara Leito in Monte Carlo last week.

The Italian was training there before his first event back following his three-month drug ban this week.

In his opening remarks after applause proceeded his pre-tournament press conference, Sinner said: "I am very happy to be back here. It has been three very long months.

"Glad to share some great moments with my family, with my friends. I have been practiscing very hard, especially in the gym in the beginning."

He then added: "I saw there is also a lot of attention off the court. I was also very surprised to see some pictures. Nothing serious! I am not in a relationship, whoever says things. So all good!"
