Ingredients:

  • Tomato
  • Red chili
  • Red chili

  • Oil
  • Wet coconut
  • Salt
  • Turmeric
  • Kokum
  • Curry leaves
  • Jaggery
  • Bay leaf
  • Mustard
  • Asafoetida

Action:

  • To make tomato essence, first wash the tomatoes, cut them into four pieces, and place them in water to cook.
  • In a mixer bowl, add soaked coriander, wet coconut, garlic cloves and tamarind and make a fine paste.
  • Then cool the cooked tomatoes and make a paste of them.
  • While making the tomato puree, heat oil in a pan and fry it with bay leaves, mustard seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida.
  • Then add the minced garlic, turmeric and red chili powder and mix well.
  • After mixing, add the prepared tomato paste and coconut flakes and roast.
  • Once the oil is well absorbed, add warm water and salt to taste and mix.
  • Once the tomato puree comes to a boil, add jaggery to taste and mix.
  • The sweet and sour essence of tomatoes, made in a simple way, is ready.
