When the Met Gala 2025 blue carpet rolled out in New York, it wasn’t just Hollywood royalty or fashion icons turning heads — it was K-pop’s finest who came to steal the show. From jaw-dropping couture to cultural statements stitched into every thread, K-pop idols owned the gala affair.

With this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the night was bound to be full of bold tributes and big risks. But in the middle of dramatic trains and pearl-covered bodices, K-pop stars brought a blend of elegance and unmistakable star power.

Here are four of the biggest K-pop stars who stole the limelight at Met Gala 2025.

Lisa made her much-anticipated Met Gala debut in a daring Louis Vuitton ensemble. Her outfit featured a glittering blazer paired with sheer panels and logo-printed tights, embracing the no-pants trend. She accessorised with black accessories and styled her hair in a messy updo, complemented by glowy makeup and a long, gem-encrusted manicure crafted by her nail artist Juan Alvear.

However, Lisa's Met Gala look sparked online backlash when eagle-eyed fans noticed a graphic on her underwear that appeared to depict Rosa Parks — the American civil rights icon known for refusing to give up her bus seat to a white man in segregated Alabama in 1955. Parks’ quiet protest became a defining moment in the U.S. civil rights movement and remains a powerful symbol of resistance against racial injustice.

The placement of her image on intimate wear was seen by many as disrespectful and tone-deaf. Critics called out the look for reducing a civil rights pioneer to a fashion graphic, arguing it trivialised Rosa Parks’ legacy.

2. Jennie

Jennie, a Chanel ambassador, paid homage to Coco Chanel with a modern twist on the classic tuxedo. Her ensemble featured an off-the-shoulder black satin jumpsuit adorned with pearl cabochons, a white silk camellia, and bejeweled buttons. The look was completed with a dramatic black satin overskirt lined with white taffeta, a two-tone hat, and matching Chanel pumps.

This outfit perfectly blended traditional menswear with Chanel's timeless aesthetic, aligning with the Met Gala's emphasis on individuality and tailored elegance.

3. Rosé (BLACKPINK)

At this point, we might as well start screaming “Blackpink in your area,” because almost the whole K-Pop group was at the Met Gala, barring Jisoo. The singer, who rose to global fame with her hit song “APT” with Bruno Mars, last year, turned a lot of heads at Met Gala 2025.

Rosé returned to the Met Gala after four years, donning a stunning black suit from Saint Laurent. Her look featured a classic black suit with an oversized shawl train, adding a dramatic flair to the ensemble. She accessorised with a bold necklace and a pop of red heels, embodying the "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" theme. While some thought the Yves Saint Laurent ensemble lacked flair, others felt it represented the theme perfectly without going over the top with bling.

4. S.Coups (SEVENTEEN)

S.Coups, leader of SEVENTEEN, made a quiet yet powerful Met Gala debut that blended Korean heritage with contemporary fashion in the most elegant way possible. Dressed in a custom Hugo Boss ensemble, he wore a layered, hanbok-inspired look that felt both historically rich and perfectly on theme.

His outfit featured a light grey, satin-like jeogori-style top — a subtle nod to traditional Korean attire — draped over pleated trousers with a relaxed yet refined fit. Over this base, he layered a structured charcoal overcoat with asymmetrical cuts and sharp tailoring, adding a Western twist to the traditional Korean outfit.
