Fiverr CEO Mikha Kaufman has clearly stated in an email sent to his team that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is going to eliminate many jobs, even his own.
This email has gone viral on social media and has been shared by Neatprompts CEO Adit Shet. In this, Kaufman said that now the time has come for people to equip themselves with new skills, otherwise it may be difficult to get a job in the future.
He wrote, “AI is after your job. And to be honest, mine too.” Kaufman says that this change will be seen not only in Fiverr, but in every sector. He said that these 8 roles can change first due to AI or can be completely eliminated:
- Programmer
- Designer
- Product Manager
- Data Scientist
- Advocate
- Customer Support
- Salespeople
- Finance Professional
According to Kaufman, the tasks that were earlier considered easy can now be done by AI on its own. And the tasks that were difficult are also becoming much easier with the help of AI. In such a situation, those who do not update themselves can fall behind in a few months.
However, this email is not meant to scare people, but rather to be a warning. He asked his team to take this time as an opportunity and start learning AI tools. He also gave some examples of AI tools – like Cursor for coding, Intercom Fin for customer support and Lexis+ AI for legal work .
Kaufman (Fiverr CEO) also said that searching from Google is no longer enough — those who do not learn prompt engineering will be left behind. He said that before adding new people to the team, it is more important to equip existing employees with AI.
This statement comes at a time when tech companies around the world are trying to strike a balance between the adoption of AI and its impact on jobs.
Even though this warning may come as a shock to some, the truth is this – AI is no longer the future, it is our present.
