members are being urged to check if their vouchers, worth millions of pounds, are set to expire on May 31, 2025. Customers only have a few weeks to make use of any savings they have in their accounts, with issuing a warning to shoppers that says: "Your Clubcard vouchers are expiring soon. Don't forget to use them on your next shop."

Once the deadline is gone, any unused vouchers cannot be reissued, leaving many customers at risk of losing savings of up to hundreds of pounds. The vouchers are only valid for two years from the date they were issued. However, there is a way to extend them - by spending 50p.

Shoppers can either make a small 50p purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page or donate to one of Tesco's partner charities to reissue their voucher.

If a customer spends 50p using a £5 Clubcard voucher, that will result in a return of 450 points which is worth £4.50. The points can then be swapped for vouchers manually, and the expiry date will extend by a further two years.

The free loyalty scheme provides customers with points for every £1 spent in-store or online, and once 150 points are earned, customers receive a £1.50 voucher which is usually issued four times a month - February, May, August, and November.

In addition to extending the deadlines, vouchers can actually be increased in value. According to Money Saving Expert: "You can double the value of your vouchers by spending them at Tesco's Reward Partners, such as Bella Italia, Chessington World of Adventures, and Disney+."

For example, 500 points are worth £5 to spend at Tesco. However, if you exchange the vouchers for a code to use with a Reward Partner, the same 500 points become £10 instead.

To check voucher balances, customers can log into their Tesco Clubcard account online or via the Tesco app and find it under the 'Voucher' section in the Clubcard tab.

Those shopping in-store can scan vouchers from their phones at the checkout, while online customers will find that their available vouchers will automatically be applied at checkout.
