Ravindra Jadeja became Chennai Super Kings’ most successful bowler in the history of IPL after a handsome performance at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday. The veteran all-rounder picked one wicket in KKR vs CSK, but it was enough to put him ahead of Dwayne Bravo. Jadeja bowled out Ajinkya Rahane to take his IPL count for CSK to 141 wickets.

Before this match, Jadeja and Bravo were at 140 wickets for Chennai. Jadeja required one wicket to by-pass Bravo to be at the top. He got that wicket by bowling KKR skipper Rahane at a critical time during the match.

With that wicket, Jadeja now has 141 wickets in 171 IPL matches at a bowling average of 28.41, and strike rate of 22.3. Bravo, who is part of KKR's supporting staff, took 140 wickets in just 113 innings. They remain the only two to have taken over 100 wickets for CSK. Jadeja is now in 5th place for most wickets with a single IPL team, and 10th overall for most wickets in the IPL.
