What happened in One Piece Chapter 1148?

One Piece Chapter 1148 followed up after Scopper Gaban and Nico Robin’s team-up. It also showcased a tense battle between the Straw Hat pirates and the Holy Knight, Saint Sommers.

The chapter starts with Gunko using a girl named Ronja as bait. She does so to make the Giants meet the Holy Knights’ demands. Gunko brings Ronja to the edge of a cliff and threatens to throw her from there if the giants do not cooperate.

The focus then shifts to Robin facing Saint Sommers head-on and attacking him with her Flower-Flower devil fruit. She uses these powers to generate multiple hands and pushes Sommers away from her. This provides her a chance to save the kids being held captive by the Holy Knights and the Straw Hats.

But Sommers recovers quickly and launches an attack on Robin with his Thorn-Thorn fruit powers. However, his attempt to harm her fails as he meets a clone of hers, and is kicked away again. Fans are then shown Elder Jarul, who orders Ange to demolish the Walrus School to save the giant children.

At the chapter’s end, the real version of Robin gets held by Sommers, who is about to attack her. Just then, Scopper Gaban comes to Robin’s rescue and cuts down Sommers’ hand. He has learned a way to defeat the Holy Knights, as Sommers doesn’t regenerate after the attack.
