TRAI has released the data of telecom users for March. Once again, Jio has added the most users by proving its supremacy. At the same time, Vi (Vodafone-Idea) users have again decreased. Vodafone-Idea users had also decreased in huge numbers in the data for January and February. Even after the launch of Vi’s 5G service, the number of users continues to decline. However, the government telecom company BSNL has made a good comeback in March.

According to the new report of TRAI, by March 31, 2025, the number of mobile users in India has increased from 115.40 crores to 115.69 crores. A monthly growth of 0.25% has been recorded in the number of mobile users. At the same time, the number of total wireless subscribers (mobile + 5G FWA) has also increased from 116.03 crores to 116.37 crores. A growth of 0.28% has also been registered in the number of total wireless users.

Jio’s reign

Jio has once again added the maximum number of mobile users to its network in March. Reliance Industries’ telecom company has added a total of 21,74,747 i.e. 2.17 million new users in March. At the same time, Airtel has also added 12,50,758 i.e. 1.25 million new users to its network. Government telecom company BSNL has made a comeback and added 49,177 new mobile users in the month of March. Vi has once again suffered huge losses. The company has lost 5,41,377 users. At the same time, the number of MTNL users has also decreased by 2,050.

Who has how much market share?

According to TRAI’s new report, the market share of private telecom operators in India is 92.04 percent. At the same time, the combined market share of BSNL and MTNL is only 7.96 percent. Jio has 40.60 percent market share with 46.98 crore users. At the same time, Airtel has 38.98 crore users and the company’s market share is 33.69 percent. Vodafone-Idea users have continuously decreased to 20.53 crores. Vi’s market share is 17.75 percent. BSNL has 9.10 crore users and the company’s market share is 7.87 percent.

Mobile Users in India

Talking about broadband users, Jio dominates here too. The telecom company has a total of 46.51 crore broadband users. Airtel is at second place here too with 28.07 crore users. At the same time, Vi has 12.64 crore broadband users. According to the March report, government telecom company BSNL has 3.02 crore broadband users.
