On Thursday, local MLA Thudi Megha Reddy said that plans totaling Rs 1,323 crore had been presented to completely develop the irrigation industry in his district.

During a special meeting with district officials from the irrigation department, he said that the plans include numerous maintenance projects as well as reservoirs, canals, and lift systems. He gave authorities instructions to compile thorough reports in line with that.

Gollapalli reservoir, Buddaram online reservoir, KLI, D5 and D8 canal expansion and strengthening, related structure construction, distributary system improvement, Ganapuram branch canal, Karne Thanda Lift, and Kashinagar Lift are among the projects that are being proposed.

He emphasized how important it is to get comprehensive data on these initiatives. The MLA instructed staff to give quick building and maintenance of numerous tanks, ponds, and check dams in the constituency first priority in light of the summer months.
