The ongoing Virat Kohli and Rahul Vaidya drama has been making headlines for a while now. While the singer has been accusing Virat’s fans of trolling him and his family, the cricketer’s brother Vikas has come out in his (Virat’s) support. He called Rahul a ‘loser’ and mentioned how he has been doing it all solely to ‘gain followers.’
It started with Rahul sharing a video reacting to Virat Kohli’s accidental ‘like’ on Avneet Kaur’s post. Reacting to it, Rahul mentioned how Virat might not have intentionally blocked him on social media and it could be an ‘algorithm glitch.’ However, he was heavily trolled over his statement against Virat Kohli.
Vikas posted on his thread, stating: “Bache, itni mehnat agar apni singing pe kar le toh shayad apni mehnat se famous ho jaaye… While the whole nation is focused on the current situation, this idiot is on a mission to gain followers and become famous by using Virat’s name… WHAT A LOSER.”
Virat had previously shared a post: “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding (sic).”
In a video uploaded by Rahul, he said, “So guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me, as you all know. I think that too is an Instagram glitch. Instagram ke algorithm ne bola hoga Virat Kohli ko ki, ‘Ek kaam kar, main tere behalf pe Rahul Vaidya ko block kar deti hoon’. Hain na?”
He further said, “Main kehna chahta hoon ki aaj ke baad aisa ho sakta hai ki algorithm bohot saare photos like kar de jo maine nahi kiye. So, jo bhi ladki ho, please don’t do PR around it because it is not my mistake. It is Instagram’s mistake, okay?”
