Pooja Bhatt and Ranvir Shorey were in a relationship and the latter was accused of hitting the actress. Pooja and Ranveer parted ways after they were living in together. But as they broke up, Pooja had accused Ranveer of being physically violent with her. At that point, it was said that Pooja's brother and Mahesh Bhatt 's son Rahul Bhatt had also assaulted Ranveer for harming his sister.
Now in a recent interview, when Rahul was asked about it, he said he will be harm to anyone who tries to mess with his sister. He told Hindi Rush, "I was always the kind of person who wouldn’t spare anybody who messed with my sister. I’m well-behaved with well-behaved people, but I could be a horror to the wrong kind of people.”
Rahul was asked if he had actually assaulted someone for misbehaving with Pooja and he said, "I did, and I will do it again. I’m not afraid of anybody. If anybody hits my sister, no law and order can stop me. Only God can save them. I’m still like that, my core personality hasn’t changed.”
In the same interview, he also spoke about how people in the industry can be ‘f****d up’. He said, "We’ve seen it all; death threats, IT raids, everything. Nothing bothers us. You become completely immune, in a good way, without losing your humanity."
Rahul's statement comes months after Ranvir Shorey had spoken about it. He said in an interview with ANI, “Her brother was the one who assaulted me. He (Mahesh Bhatt) could have told these guys not to talk like that…. In that sense I felt he was manipulative towards me. These are all 25 years old stories, I don’t want to get into them now,” he told Siddharth Kannan in an interview. He said that he lost respect for the filmmaker after what happened. “I had great regard for Mr Bhatt (Mahesh Bhatt) till the fiasco happened when I was seeing his daughter (Pooja Bhatt). Then I saw that actually whatever respect I had for him was being used to manipulate me… very duplicitous behaviour going on.”
