Lucknow – The Government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a historic step in the digital age and launched an ambitious scheme of providing free training of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the citizens of the state. Through “AI Pragya Portal”, now 10 lakh people of Uttar Pradesh will be trained in this advanced technology – that too without any fee.

The purpose of this initiative is not only to give technical knowledge, but to bring new employment opportunities to the people. In this program being run in collaboration with major companies like HCL, Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Wadhwani Foundation and One Million for One Billion, government employees, teachers, students, doctors, farmers and citizens of rural areas will be given free training.

What will happen in the course?

The training is designed in such a way that no technical background will be required to get mastered in technology. The course will include the following topics: Introduction to AI, basic principle of machine learning, data analytics, use of AI tools, field-specific training (eg agriculture, education, health)

How to get benefits?

Interested people can register online by visiting AI Pragya portal. Training will be fully given in a phased manner through video lectures, practical assignments and interactive tools. This facility will be made available for people of rural areas through Gram Panchayat and Public Service Centers.
