Indiramma Housing program: Telangana’s ambitious Indiramma Illu housing program would provide financial aid to rural journalists and the families of slain journalists, according to a Friday announcement by Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy.

According to Reddy, the families of journalists who have lost their lives while doing their duties and the poor journalists in rural regions would get first consideration. After presenting cheques to the families of journalists who had suffered serious health problems and lost their lives while doing their duties, the Housing Minister was speaking to the crowd. K. Srinivas Reddy, the chairman of the Press Academy, was present when he handed the cheques.

“The government will develop a comprehensive plan to support journalists at the constituency and mandal levels,” he added. The completion of the Press Academy building’s construction has been committed to. In addition, a corpus fund of Rs 42 crore has been set up for this purpose.

In order to improve land administration services, the government would license around 5,000 surveyors, the minister said. It is anticipated that these private surveyors would be useful in drawing maps and defining land boundaries.

The housing minister had previously said that more than 20 lakh homes will be built over the course of the next four years.

A model Indiramma home was officially opened by Srinivasa Reddy on Thursday at the Nakrekal Mandal Parishad Development Office in the Nalgonda district. He said that empowering the impoverished is the primary objective of constructing Indiramma homes.
