Chennai To the pleasure of fans and movie enthusiasts, the producers of filmmaker Sekhar Kammula’s eagerly awaited pan-Indian blockbuster “Kubera,” which stars Dhanush and Nagarjuna in the key roles, revealed on Saturday that actor Dhanush plays a character named Deva in the film.

The announcement was made on the day when Dhanush celebrated 23 years of acting in motion pictures.

One of the production companies working on the movie, Sree Venkateswara Cinemas, congratulated the actor on a successful acting career on their X timeline.

It read: “A remarkable actor’s journey of hard work, passion, and dedication continues to inspire after 23 years.” In #SekharKammulasKuberaa, @dhanushkraja is poised to captivate hearts as #DEVA. Soon, more updates will be loaded. Keep an eye out! June 20, 2025, international release date.

From the moment of its announcement, the movie sparked a lot of excitement among moviegoers and enthusiasts.

In addition to Nagarjuna and Dhanush, Jim Sarbh and Rashmika Mandanna play important parts in the movie. The movie, which is scheduled for release on June 20 of this year, is highly anticipated since it marks the first collaboration between renowned director Sekhar Kammula and National Award winner Dhanush.

According to rumours circulating in the industry, Dhanush portrays a beggar in the movie who eventually becomes a mafia king. Nevertheless, neither of these rumours has received any formal confirmation.

Technically speaking, Niketh Bommi did the cinematography for “Kubera.” The film’s production designers are Monika Nigotre and Ramakrishna Sabbani. Chaithanya Pingali co-wrote the script for the movie. Poorvaa Jain and Kavya Sriram created the movie’s costumes. Suniel Naran and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao are funding Kubera under the auspices of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas.
