Bank Holidays: Will you be visiting the bank on Saturday 10 May 2025? Note that on this date, the bank shall remain closed. In this case, banks will be closed on Saturday 10 May. Ordinary citizens will not have access to all banking services. They will only be able to access their banking accounts and perform transactions through online banking.
The bank not operating means clients will not access the cash deposit or withdrawal service. Customers will also not be able to perform check clearing, passbook updating and other banking activities. Outside the banks, some services will be available like ATMs, net banking, mobile banking, and UPI will remain available 24 hours.
May shall also see the banks observing some of the days off the work calendar with the weekly holiday business. This holiday schedule will be on all Sundays i.e. 4, 11, 18 and 25 May. In addition, banks shall not operate on the second and fourth Saturdays on 10 and 24 May.

16 May (Friday): State Day – Closed for Banks in Gangtok
26 May (Monday): Birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam – Banks closed in Agartala
29 May (Thursday): Maharana Pratap Jayanti – Banks Closed in Shimla
Will online banking services be available?
Even with these holidays, customers can still perform transactions, payments, and other services via UPI, IMPS, net banking, and mobile banking apps. Bank branches will not be functioning, so essential matters requiring a visit to branch should be completed ahead of time.
