New Delhi, May 11, 2025 — Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the 2025 Honda CB650R and CBR650R in India, now equipped with revolutionary E-Clutch technology. This cutting-edge feature allows riders to shift gears seamlessly without engaging the clutch leverenhancing the overall riding experience.

The 2025 Honda CB650R is priced at ₹9.60 lakhwhile the CBR650R carries a price tag of ₹10.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings are open across Honda Big Wing dealerships nationwide.

What is Honda’s E-Clutch?

The E-Clutch is a globally patented technology by Honda, first introduced in late 2023. It enables riders to start, stop, and shift gears without using the clutch leveroffering an intuitive and fatigue-free riding experience. Unlike fully automatic systems, the E-Clutch blends the feel of manual transmission with advanced automation.

This system integrates features of a Quickshifter, manual clutchand Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Riders still have the option to use the traditional clutch and shifter when preferred. The E-Clutch adds approximately 2.8 kg to the motorcycle’s total weight.

2025 Honda CB650R: Neo-Retro Powerhouse

The CB650R continues to embrace its neo-retro styling with a muscular stance. Key highlights include:

  • 649cc inline-four engine producing 94 bhp and 63 Nm of torque

  • Showa 41 mm SFF-BP USD forks and rear monoshock with preload adjustability

  • Dual 310 mm front discs and 240 mm rear discsupported by dual-channel ABS

  • 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync Bluetooth connectivity

  • Available in Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic

The E-Clutch variant is priced about ₹40,000 more than the standard version.

2025 Honda CBR650R: Sporty Touring Redefined

Inspired by the Fireblade, the CBR650R is a full-faired middleweight sportbike featuring:

  • Identical 649cc inline-four engine as the CB650R

  • Twin LED headlampsaerodynamic fairing

  • Equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for enhanced safety

  • Same braking and suspension hardware as CB650R

  • Offered in Grand Prix Red and Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic

The CBR650R with E-Clutch also carries a ₹40,000 premium over its manual counterpart.
