Danny Dyer was among the winners at this year's BAFTA TV Awards, with the actor taking home the gong for Best Male Performance in a Comedy.

The ex-EastEnders star walked away with his very first BAFTA thanks to his role in the Sky Comedy series Mr Bigstuff, beating the likes of Bilal Hasna, Dylan Thomas-Smith, Nabhaan Rizwan, Oliver Savell and Phil Dunning.

Understandably excited about his win, Danny delivered a heartfelt speech on stage, where he thanked numerous people, including his co-stars and management team.

The star also gave a special shoutout to his two daughters, Sunnie and Dani, who were in the audience cheering their famous father on at the prestigous event.

"Girls! Sunnie, Dani", adding in a four-word remark: "I done it girls!" as he concluded his speech and lifted his BAFTA in the air.

The camera moved to show Sunnie and Dani in the crowd, with the pair excitedly cheering their dad on as he exited the stage.

During his speech, Danny reduced fellow star Ryan Sampson, who starred in Mr Bigstuff and also wrote the comedy series, to tears as he dedicated his BAFTA to him in an emotional moment.

"I'd like to dedicate this to Ryan Sampson," Danny declared. "He's one of the greatest people ever to come out of Rotherham - not saying much. You won this for me mate."

"One of the best actors this country has ever produced, I'm telling you. He's never done the same thing twice," Danny continued. "Which is not something I can say!"

"But, you wrote this part for me, mate. You won this for me, mate. I really appreciate it, thank you so much," he concluded, as Ryan wiped away tears in the audience.

The 2025 BAFTA TV Awards aired on Sunday, 11 May and is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
