Actor Shehzad Khan , son of legendary comedian Ajit Khan , shared his views on the rising paparazzi culture in the entertainment world. In an interview, he criticized how some people are more focused on getting photographed and being seen, rather than relying on real talent to get work.
Talking with India Today Digital, Shehzad Khan said, "I find the whole paparazzi culture unnecessary. It’s like ‘paapa-raji aur mama-naarazi’—a joke on how some people who lack real talent depend on being seen by the media. But if someone is truly talented, they will eventually get work."
Living a private lifestyle
Khan also mentioned that he has always chosen to keep his personal life private. He said there's no need to share details about where he goes or how he lives, as that's not for public display. Unlike many others, he doesn't believe in making airport appearances or posing outside gyms, preferring to live a simple and low-key life.
On Privacy, Paparazzi, and Staying True to His Roots
Reflecting on the values he learned from his father and the legends of the past, Shehzad shared that he follows their example of maintaining dignity and privacy. He believes in letting his work speak for itself rather than seeking attention through publicity.
About his personal and professional journey
He is best known for his roles in Bollywood films and television. Born to legendary actor Ajit Khan, he made his acting debut in 1988 with 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' and later gained recognition for his performance in the cult classic 'Andaz Apna Apna' (1994). Over the years, Shehzad appeared in several films like 'Barsaat' (1995) and 'Ittefaq' (2001), and television shows such as Shaka Laka Boom Boom. Despite facing challenges in the industry, including financial struggles after his father’s death, Shehzad remains active in entertainment and also dabbled in music and production.
