Drivers are facing on one of the UK's busiest A-roads after a medical emergency in Essex. Emergency services are currently at the scene on the between junctions 11 and 12, with queues now around four miles long with a diversion route in place.

A post on the website reads: "The A12 in Essex is closed southbound between J12 (Brentwood) & J11 (M25) for a medical emergency. Essex Police are in attendance. Delays are likely on approach to the closure and diversion routes."
