M4 traffic is building and drivers are being urged after a crash in south Wales. Police have closed off the major motorway at junction 48 and the Pont Abraham roundabout in Carmarthenshire after a horsebox overturned.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Poyws Police said: "The road is currently closed due to a collision. Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey." Traffic monitoring service Inrix posted: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to overturned horse box on M4 in both directions from J48 A4138 Pontardulais Road (Hendy / Llanelli) to A48 (Pont Abraham Roundabout). Since just before 10:40. On the Westbound side, eastbound now also stopped."
