Lakeland fans are racing to buy a popular pizza oven. Ooni is arguably the leading brand for outdoor pizza ovens, and shoppers hoping to buy an al fresco cooking device this summer can buy the for £299.99. The can cook a 12-inch pizza in one minute, it has an adjustable heat dial. The gas-fired oven has cool-to-touch legs, so cooks won't accidentally burn themselves whilst whizzing up dinner.

The legs are also foldable, making it easy to store away. The Ooni device is rather expensive, and there are cheaper alternatives on the market for shoppers who don't want to spend almost £300. Argos is selling a for £54 in its clearance sale. The portable oven runs on propane and has foldable legs. Argos recommends that it be taken on camping trips.

Another option is the now £119.99, down from £144.99 on Amazon. It has a pellet-fuelled double layer design, and reaches its highest temperature in 15 minutes.

Back to , it has an overall customer rating of five-stars on Lakeland, one shopper said: "Love our new pizza oven, nice and easy to set up. Also, easy to store and keep clean. It takes a bit of getting used to when cooking but, think we are getting the hang of it.

"My only criticism is I do think it's overpriced, which is a shame as I think so many more people, particularly with young families would invest in this product. Our Grandkids love it."

A second liked the device, but warned that it doesn't come with certain utensils: "The oven was easy to set up and ready to use in 30 minutes. However, be aware that the pizza peel does not come as part of the oven.

"I had ordered one but it is currently out of stock. Not realising how essential this is, and having promised the grandchildren pizzas, we tried using fish slices and cake tin bases with some success.

"The results were not pretty but did taste good. I feel strongly that the oven should be supplied with this necessary piece of equipment." A third concluded: "My husband had been watching videos on these for a while, so I decided to treat him. We were not disappointed. Fantastic little oven, cooks pizzas in a couple of minutes. Apart from making the dough it's all pretty quick and you get fresh stone-baked pizza."
