The Memphis Grizzlies might be out of the playoffs, but Ja Morant fans still have something exciting to look forward to, especially if you’re into cool sneakers.

Nike is launching a bold new pair of Ja Morant’s signature shoes on May 16and they’re inspired by none other than Kool-Aid. Yep, the classic sugary drink that made your childhood a little more fun now has its own sneaker flavour. The new Nike Ja 2 x Kool-Aid “Mixed Berry” shoes will cost $130 for adult sizes and will be available on the Nike SNKRS app, Foot Lockerand a few other select stores.

What makes these shoes stand out? For starters, each shoe comes in a different bright colour, one is cherry red and the other is tropical greencomplete with matching laces. It’s a playful, mismatched look that totally gives off those fruity Kool-Aid vibes.

But it’s not just about looks. These kicks also glow in the darkthanks to their special rubber sole, and are built for comfort and performance. With Nike’s Air Zoom cushioning up front, your feet will feel supported whether you’re on the court or just walking around. The tongues of the shoes even shout out Kool-Aid’s famous catchphrase with “Ohhh” and “Yeah!” printed on them, just like the Kool-Aid Man used to say.

Other performance features include a breathable mesh upper to keep your feet cool, a mid-foot panel for better traction, and support designed specifically for Ja’s quick and shifty play style. Morant actually wore this exact pair during a game against the Timberwolves on April 10.

And if you’re already sold on these, here’s more good news: a second colour version is rumoured to be dropping in June.
