On Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that the TATA Indian Premier League 2025 will resume after a temporary halt. This decision followed thorough discussions with government representatives, security personnel, and other essential parties.
The tournament is set to kick off again on May 17, featuring 17 matches across six different venues. The season will culminate with the final match on June 3. The updated schedule includes two double-header events, both planned for Sundays.
The playoff schedule is as follows:
Qualifier 1 – May 29
Eliminator – May 30
Qualifier 2 – June 1
Final – June 3
Details regarding the venues for the playoff matches will be disclosed later.
In their statement, the BCCI expressed appreciation for the Indian armed forces, acknowledging their courage and determination in establishing a secure environment for cricket's return. The Board reaffirmed its dedication to national interests while ensuring the IPL season's successful completion.
