CUET UG Dress Code: CUET-UG, a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to undergraduate programs offered by central and other participating universities, is going to start from today, 13 May 2025. According to the information, about 13 lakh candidates are going to appear in the examination. Candidates should understand the dress code issued by NTA thoroughly before leaving home, so that there is no inconvenience later.
CUET 2025 Exam: CUET-UG exam will be held in three shifts
The question paper will be prepared in 13 Indian languages - Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The exam will be conducted in three shifts. Shift 1 will be held from 9 am to 10 am, second shift from 12 pm to 1 pm, and last shift from 3 pm to 4 pm.
NTA has released the admit card for the candidates appearing for the exam from 13 to 16 May. Candidates can download their admit card by visiting the official website. Apart from this, candidates should also know the rules related to the dress code.
CUET UG Dress Code: Dress Code for CUET-UG Exam
Wearing heavy clothes with long sleeves is not allowed. However, if candidates come to the examination center in cultural/traditional dress, they should report at least one hour before the last reporting time so that the candidate gets sufficient time for proper search without any inconvenience while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.
Low-heeled slippers and sandals are allowed.
Shoes are not allowed.
In case any deviation is required due to unavoidable (medical, etc.) circumstances, special approval of NTA is required before issuing the admit card.
Candidates must strictly follow the dress code issued by NTA to ensure fair conduct of the exam.
Prohibited items in the examination hall
According to the guidelines issued by NTA, the following items are prohibited:
Any item such as text material (printed or written), pieces of paper, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen drive, eraser, calculator, log table, electronic pen/scanner, etc.
Any communication device such as a mobile phone, Bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, etc.
Other items such as wallet, goggles, handbag, belt, cap, etc.
Any watch/wristwatch, bracelet, camera, etc.
Any jewelry/metal items.
Any food item that has been opened or packed, water bottles, etc.
Any other item that can be used inappropriately, communication devices such as a microchip, camera, Bluetooth device, etc.
Candidates wearing articles of faith (traditional/cultural/religious) should report to the examination centre at least two hours before the last reporting time.
If during checking it is found that a candidate is indeed carrying any suspicious device within such article of faith, he/she may be asked not to carry the same in the examination hall.
No arrangement will be made for keeping any article/item belonging to the candidates at the centres.
