Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Neil Nitin Mukesh, who has acted in over 31 films, spoke recently about the problems in the film industry in India. While promoting his web series Hai Junoon, Neil granted an interview to the Indian Express in which he spoke about the mental and professional hurdles he has faced while trying to gain a foothold in the industry.

In the interview, he explained how impressing with mad skills was no longer the key, and that many people in Bollywood enjoy celebrating the misfortune or failure rather than success of other people. He blamed the rampant public negativity and controversies for the cultivated toxic environment saying that people are now more concerned about ‘image’ instead of ‘acting.’ He opined that an actor’s talent and skills to perform is now outdated, and they are judged mainly on their physical attributes, which is sad.

Neil reminiscing about those older times while speaking to us reflected on why things changed. Mentioning the period ruled by Raj Kapoor, he said that in the era when legends walked among us there was a healthy spirit of goodwill and support towards other artists. But now, everyone is supremely self-centered and workaholic to the point of constant competition, destroying the work environment.

In 2007, Neil Nitin Mukesh commenced his career in cinema as the primary actor in the film ‘Johnny Gaddar’. He had previously worked as a child actor in movies like ‘Vijay’ and ‘Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni’. Other films he participated in after his debut included ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ and ‘New York’, the latter of which featured him alongside Katrina Kaif and John Abraham. Neil’s performance in ‘New York’ was particularly noteworthy, earning him praise. The film was enjoyed by audiences for its captivating story, touching songs, wonderful performances, and Neil’s character was loved by many fans.
