New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has scheduled to conduct the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025 between May 13 to June 3. Candidates appearing for the Computer Based Test (CBT) need to know the exam day guidelines, which are mandatory to follow on the exam day.

The CUET exam day guidelines set by the exam-conducting authority provide candidates with information on things such as what should be carried on the exam day, do’s and don’ts, timings of the exam and other necessary information. Cuet and Exam Day Guidelines 2025

  • Candidates need to have all the mandatory documents, which include the CUET UG admit card and valid identity proof such as Aadhar card, voter identity, PAN card or similar to the exam centre.
  • A recent passport-sized photograph is necessary to paste on the CUET admit card.
  • Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre an hour before the exam begins to have a hassle-free frisking process.
  • No one will be allowed to enter the CUET exam hall 30 minutes before the exam begins.
  • Candidates will also not be allowed entry inside the exam centre once it starts.
  • The Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category candidates will get compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour to complete the paper.
  • Candidates should read the question paper carefully and then attempt an answer, as there is negative marking in the entrance exam.
  • Without the required documents, candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.
  • Pencil, eraser, calculator, logarithm table, electronic gadgets, mobile phones are not permitted inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates will get blank paper sheets for rough work in the exam hall.
  • Candidates need to write their name and roll number at the top of each of the rough sheets and hand over it to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall.

Aspirants appearing for the CUET UG exam need to follow the specific dress code as mentioned by the exam-conducting authority. As per the CUET UG exam dress code, both male and female candidates must wear light-coloured half-sleeve shirts or t-shirts. Clothes with long sleeves will not be allowed.

Candidates can wear trousers. However, candidates are not allowed to wear shoes, belts, jewellery or heels. Only slippers are allowed for candidates to wear.

NTA conducts the CUET exam based on the exam pattern. Candidates must follow the CUET exam pattern before starting their preparation. The CUET exam pattern mentions various important details such as the CUET marking scheme, exam duration, type of questions, exam mode and total marks. With the help of the exam pattern candidates become familiar with the structure of the entrance test.
