Navya Naveli Nanda , is the granddaughter of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan , and daughter of Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Nikhil Nanda. Lessons from Her Nani and Mom
Navya shared that both her nani Jaya and her mother, Shweta, have taught her how to balance strength with vulnerability, an important lesson she carries with her in life. “Both mom and Nani have never shied away from being who they are: confident and bold. They embody the kind of woman I would hope to shape into one day,” she expressed.
Talking About Her Career Choice
Despite being born into a star-studded family, including, Navya doesn’t plan on joining the Bollywood film industry. She explained that growing up in Delhi, she was always around her father talking about business, especially tractors, which sparked her interest in pursuing a career in that field. “I never wanted to join films; I wanted to be an entrepreneur,” she stated.
Living Up to Her Family’s Legacy
When asked about the pressure of living up to her family’s legacy, Navya shared that she doesn’t feel burdened by it. Instead, she takes immense pride in her heritage. “I carry each and every aspect of it with pride, and more importantly, responsibility. All I do is to make my family proud,” she said in an interview.
Navya’s Entrepreneurial Journey vs Agastya’s Acting Debut
While Navya is focused on her dream of becoming a businesswoman, her brother, Agastya Nanda, has followed in the footsteps of their grandparents and entered the acting world. Agastya made his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, starring alongside Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, and others.
