Naval Science and Technology is commemorating National Technology Day in 2025.
The Defence Research and Development Organization’s (DRDO) top naval research laboratory, NSTL, hosted a program at the NSTL family welfare center here on Monday.
Speaking at the event, Sajan P. John gave a thorough overview of the conception and successful development of Kochi Water Metro.
The backdrop of National Technology Day and its topic, “Yantra-Yugantar,” for developing new technology, research, and acceleration, were thoroughly discussed by Scientist-F and NTDC-2025 chairman K Srikanth.
Dr. Abraham Varughese, NSTL Director and a distinguished scientist, explained how the subject of NTD 2025 is appropriate given the current geopolitical environment. He said that if technology breakthroughs are used to their greatest potential, a country may become stronger.
The director firmly believed that a greater focus on cutting-edge technology advancements, including as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and improvements in material science, might help realize the Prime Minister’s goal of Vikasit Bharat.
He urged the NSTL community to be resourceful and creative in their efforts to create technologically sophisticated undersea systems that are indigenous.
Khagesh Kumar Choudhary, Scientist-E, received the Titanium medal at the event for his talk on “Thermal Suppression of Gas Turbine Exhaust in Compact Tunnel of Warship.”
Notable scientists HN Das and G. D.R. Rajeswari Devi, along with other scientists, officials, personnel, and leaders from the NSTL Civil Employees Union, took part in the event.
