Police detained four people

SSP Maninder Singh of Amritsar said that, “We received information at around 9:30 pm on Monday night that people were dying here by drinking fake liquor. We immediately took action and detained 4 people. We arrested Chief Suppliers Parbjit Singh. He questioned him and found out about Kingpin Suppliers Sahab Singh. He has also taken him into custody.”

He told that, we are investigating about which companies he has bought this liquor. We have been given strict instructions from the Punjab government that strict action should be taken against the suppliers of fake liquor. For which raids are being conducted. Liquor manufacturers will soon be detained. 2 FIRs have been registered against him under strict sections. “SSP said that, civil administration and we are going from house to house to find out who has drunk fake liquor so that the death of more people can be saved. So far 14 people have been confirmed and 6 people are still hospitalized. According to SSP, the incident of poisonous liquor has happened in five villages.
