The 2000 release, which starred Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty, immediately won over fans. 25 years later, a digitally remastered version with improved sound and visual quality is making a comeback in a few Indian theaters.

Dhadkan, which was directed by Dharmesh Darshan, is about Anjali (Shilpa), who is torn between two men: her current husband, Ram (Akshay), and her former lover, Dev (Suniel). It’s an emotionally charged tale of love, heartache, rage, and hope. The tragic tale of Anjali and Dev, who are deeply in love and want to spend their lives together, is told in Dhadkan, which was loosely based on Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights.
