South Africa took to X on Tuesday, May 13, to share a video in which the 2023-25 World Test Championship (WTC) table-toppers announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming WTC 2025 final. South Africa will face the 2023 WTC champions in the summit clash at Lord’s from June 11 to 15.
Temba Bavuma will captain the South African team, and the squad includes the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Ryan Rickelton, Tristan Stubbs and Marco Jansen, among others.
A total of eight players who are plying their trade in the IPL 2025 are part of South Africa’s WTC Final squad.
South Africa qualified for the final by winning eight of their 12 matches in the championship, including their last seven in a row. The squad will assemble in England on May 31 ahead of a four-day warm-up fixture against Zimbabwe at Arundel from June 3 to 6.

Earlier on Tuesday, Australia also named their squad for the next month’s ICC World Test Championship final.
Allrounder Cameron Green has been included after recovering from a back surgery while young opener Sam Konstas has also made the cut. Left-arm spinner Matthew Kuhnemann is also part of the squad.
