New CBSE grading system Introduced

From the academic session 2024-25 onward, CBSE has implemented a relative grading system to reduce pressure and curb unhealthy competition. Compartment exam eligibility 2025

Class 12 students who fail in only one external subject but have cleared all internal assessments will be eligible for the CBSE Compartment Exam 2025. Detailed guidelines will be released soon on the official CBSE website.

Revised postrResult Procedure

CBSE has changed the sequence of its post-result processes:

Earlier Process:

  • Verification of marks
  • Photocopy of evaluated answer book
  • Re-evaluation

New Process (2025):

  • Photocopy of evaluated answer book
  • Verification of marks and/or re-evaluation
  • This allows students to first review their answer sheets before applying for rechecking, enhancing transparency and clarity regarding awarded marks.
