Jeremy Clarkson has shared some joyous news with his fans. The 65-year-old star posted to Instagram to introduce a new calf, just a week before the new series of his Amazon Prime show lands.

Sharing a cute snap of his , Pepper, with an unnamed baby lying in the grass next to her, the farmer proudly penned: "Pepper's had another calf." Fans were absolutely delighted with the update and flooded the comments with well-wishes for the new addition.

One fan gushed: "That's amazing news! The star of the show," while another penned: "How wonderful, some great news in this scary world." A third person added: "Pepper is probably the most recognized and beloved cow by car enthusiasts...in the world."

Another commenter reminisced about a time when Pepper appeared on the Amazon Prime show and faced a major dilemma, writing: "Awwwwh, and I remember the episode where they said she couldn't have calves."

Clarkson previously parted ways with Pepper temporarily after being forced to sell some of his cows, leaving him thinking that she was destined for the abattoir.

However, as she went to live her life on a new farm, the Who Wants to be a Millionaire presenter later found out that his beloved "pet" cow had found love with a bull. She ended up getting pregnant and later gave birth to a baby calf, who was called Tabby.

It seems Clarkson is set to face new struggles as the fourth series of his show will be released from May 23. The presenter was forced to hire new help as his trusty right-hand man, Kaleb Cooper, took a break from filming to go on a tour of the UK.

Without him, Clarkson admitted that he was facing a "wake-up call" as it was like a "slow-mo accident" working the farm alone.

Jeremy emotionally shared: "I did do some of the farming for the first time ever, completely on my own, with Kaleb not being around. I had to take care of the pigs on my own. I had to take care of the cows on my own, and I had to get the crops planted on my own."

He continued: "When you're doing it completely on your own - well, things had to be redone a few times! When you have planted an entire field and it's taken days, it shouldn't have taken days, but it did take me days - you finally get it in, and then three weeks or a month later, absolutely nothing grows out of it.

"That's a slow-motion accident, and it's extremely disheartening when you've worked your socks off and nothing grows. Nothing. Not one single thing grew out of the soil." Jeremy concluded: "That, in terms of farming, was my big wake-up call."
