Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Scam Detector, launched by McAfee, aims to assist users in countering increasingly prevalent online scams. The feature is free for McAfee+ users, Total Protection, and LiveSafe subscribers from the US, UK, and Australia.

What The Scam Detector Can Do

Scam Detector powered by AI technology is capable of:

Scanning and extracting text messages like WhatsApp and iMessage on android devices.

Sorting and placing suspicious messages into their own folder on iPhones.

Flagging scam emails in Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo and providing explanations in parentheses.

Identifying deepfake audio within videos on YouTube, TikTok and Facebook using a mere six seconds worth of audio.

Permit users to upload screenshots or paste identifiable text so long as it can be analyzed instantly.

Privacy Preserved while Providing Real-Time Protection

Most of the scam detection processes occur on the user’s gadget, allowing private information to remain private and personal data to not be transmitted to cloud servers for evaluation.

No Steps to Finish Required for Existing Users

In terms of McAfee users, the program is being pushed out with no option for users needing to install or update the software manually.
