The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season two, available on Disney Plus and Hulu, introduced viewers to 26 year old Miranda McWhorter in its first episode. Miranda, a former close friend of original MomToker Taylor Frankie Paul, described herself as one of the "OG's" of MomTok.

She explained her notoriety stemmed from a swinging scandal that Taylor had openly discussed. Asserting she was "finally here" to share her perspective, Miranda joined the rest of the group at a networking event, where the tension was palpable.

She revealed her split from her husband Chase was due to an alleged love triangle involving Taylor. Miranda then detailed how her involvement in the swinging scandal peaked with "playing spin the bottle and kissing other people".

"It was very jarring for me for Taylor to come out and say everyone was hooking up with everyone, because that was simply not the case at all," she stated.

The group expressed confusion, claiming that Miranda's and Taylor's accounts didn't align.

When Taylor eventually arrived at the event, she confessed she felt "very shocked" upon seeing Miranda.

She added: "Pretty uncomfortable I will say, because I haven't really talked to her since everything. I don't know why she's here, I guess, I'm very confused."

Taylor alleged that Miranda was involved in the swinging scandal and that her husband Chase had confessed his feelings for her.

She refuted claims of stealing her best friend's husband, insisting that such accusations had "never been the case".

Opening up to People about their shocking swinging scandal and mending fences, Taylor and Miranda reflected on their deep connection preceding the controversy.

Taylor recollected, "I think people forget our friendship was way prior to our scandal, if you will. It was four years of all the time, always together, phone calls, everything. We were closer, I'd say, than our families - hanging out more."

Miranda acknowledged the depth of their shared "hurt and emotions" after their rift, noting, "I think a lot of Taylor's frustrations were with me not being totally authentic and truthful."

She confessed lacking full transparency, admitting: "I was just like, 'Well, everyone wasn't hooking up with everyone,' and I just left it at that. I get why that would feel unfair to her."

Miranda disclosed feelings of fear, guilt, and shame intertwined with her marriage and religious beliefs, which impacted the situation.

"I think there was a lot of fear, guilt and shame that played a role in that for me, things that I needed to address in my personal life between my marriage, my religion, all of that."

Her journey towards self-reflection led to healing not only within herself but in the relationship with Taylor: "I think over time as I unpacked that individually, it allowed me to unpack that more publicly, and obviously, with Taylor, as well.

"I can't speak for her, but I feel like me finally addressing that, and also her addressing the hurt aside from the swinging thing, was probably very validating for us both."
