Tesco has upped the price of one of its pizza meal deals by £1. The has increased the cost of its The Pizza Company offer - which includes a pizza, side and dip - from £6 to £7.

You need a Clubcard to get this deal. Some of the pizza flavours included in the offer are Pepperoni Party and the Big Cheese, while sides include Chicken Pops and Cajun Onion Rings.

Tom Church, co-founder of , said: “As prices creep up, people are laser-focused on value. That extra £1 might seem small, but in the middle of a cost of living squeeze it’s enough to push shoppers to look elsewhere — unless you’re adding something truly special to the deal.”

It comes after Tesco hiked the price of its Tesco Finest Dine In for Two deal from £12 to £15 - an increase of £3. The offer includes one main course, one side, and a dessert, plus an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage.

Tesco says the move came after it improved its ingredients. It also noted that the meal deal offering still saved customers up to £22.50 compared to buying the dishes separately.

Tesco expanded the items available in the Dine In deal for spring. Nine new dishes were added, giving customers the choice of over 25 items for their evening meal.

A Tesco spokesperson told Sky News: "We have worked to improve the quality across our Finest Dine In range, investing in the ingredients and recipes, and introducing an updated menu.

They added: "Finest Dine In offers great value and is a delicious, convenient alternative to dining out at a fraction of the price."

Meanwhile, the supermarket was recently forced to apologise after some shoppers were mistakenly told they were being awarded £100 in Clubcard points. Tesco recently ran a promotion where customers could get £100 of Clubcard points when they booked an easyJet holiday.

However, some shoppers were accidentally sent an email saying they were being given the £100 in Clubcard points - despite not taking part in the offer.

The second email read: “We sent you an email about our Reward Partners on Sunday 11 May (great!). Unfortunately, we mistakenly said we’d added £100 of Clubcard points to your account for booking an easyJet holiday (not so great!).

“We’re very sorry for any confusion we caused, and we hope you have a lovely summer, whatever your holiday plans.”

A spokesperson from Tesco said: “An email meant for customers who had collected £100 of Clubcard points after booking an easyJet Holidays break using Tesco Clubcard Vouchers was mistakenly sent to other Clubcard members.

"We are sorry about the confusion and have followed up with an email to the customers who wrongly received the message to apologise.”
