New Delhi: Strong tremors of earthquake have been felt in Turkey. Its intensity has been measured at 5.2 on the Richter scale. The ground of Turkey has been shaking repeatedly. Sometimes mild tremors and sometimes devastating floods have devastated Turkey. The reason for this is that Turkey is located on the Anatolian plate, which is trapped between the African and Eurasian tectonic plates. This is the reason why seismic activities often occur here.
On the morning of 6 February, an earthquake of 7.8 magnitude struck. This caused massive destruction in Turkey as well as Syria. After this earthquake, another tremor of 7.5 magnitude struck. This became the deadliest earthquake in the history of Turkey. More than 50 thousand people were killed in this. Not only this, millions of people were affected by this earthquake.
2020 – Izmir earthquake: The magnitude of this earthquake on October 30 was 7.0 on the Richter scale. This earthquake occurred under the Aegean Sea and affected Turkey as well as Greece. 2011 – Van earthquake: In October, a devastating earthquake struck the Van region of eastern Turkey. Its magnitude was 7.1. More than 600 people were killed in it. Hundreds of buildings were destroyed.
