A bad news for Punjab Kings between IPL 2025 came out. Right arm fast bowler Lockery Fortuuson dropped out of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League. He was hurt during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 12 April. He was stretched in hamstring. Because of this, he was eliminated from the remaining matches of the tournament. Ferguson played a total of four matches for Punjab this season. In which he took 5 wickets.

This player replaced

Punjab Kings have announced the replacement of Lockie Ferguson. He has signed New Zealand’s Kyle Jameson for the remaining matches. The 6.8 feet long pacer will now replace Ferguson in the team. The 30 -year -old cricketer has been a part of the Indian Premier League earlier. He represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2021 IPL. Jeamison then took 9 wickets in nine matches.

Punjab closer to going into playoffs

The team led by Shreyas Iyer is very close to reaching the playoffs. This team has played 11 matches so far. Out of which he won in 7. At the same time, Punjab faced defeat in the remaining 4 matches. They have a total of 15 points. PBKS is currently at the third position in the points table.
